The Orthopedic and Hand Surgery department at USÖ consists of outpatient care, secretariat, surgical operations, and a care ward.

The outpatient services include the Fracture Clinic and the Orthopedic Clinic. The Fracture Clinic provides emergency care for patients with orthopedic issues and plaster treatment. The Orthopedic Clinic handles scheduled outpatient visits and surgical operations under local anesthesia. We also have a nurse-led clinic where we provide advanced wound care.

The department provides care at Region Örebro County's three hospitals: Lindesberg Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Örebro University Hospital. Our expertise at USÖ is primarily in emergency/trauma care, pediatric, spine, and foot surgery.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three emergency hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education. Assistant Nurse for the Orthopedic Clinic, Örebro University Hospital

The responsibilities include standard assistant nurse tasks in the outpatient setting and also involve plaster treatment to a large extent. Plaster techniques and knowledge are an obvious part of the onboarding. As an assistant nurse, you will also work in your own clinic with scheduled and emergency visits that include both wound dressing and plastering.

We welcome applicants who are trained assistant nurses, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are trained assistant nurses within the current program structure. To assess employability, transcripts from your healthcare education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding your protected professional title must be attached to your application.

It is an advantage if you have experience with plastering and/or within orthopedics, an interest in wound care, and preferably a few years of experience in surgical emergency care. We place great importance on personal qualities such as good communication skills, teamwork ability, and commitment. It is important that you want to contribute to the development of the clinic and are positively inclined towards changes.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
